Awaken theosophical feeling in the exercises.
Equanimity, not indifference.
It is not what has been acquired beforehand that has value, but what is acquired through spiritual training. Immersing oneself in theosophical teachings is the only thing that promotes the development of spiritual life from sensual life.
Feel our higher self not as within us, but as outside us. Receive its development as a blessing. Life after death removes the obstacles of karma if one resolves to make amends for all one's individual mistakes. The spiritual student should already realize this in earthly life. Contemplation of Christ's death on Golgotha not as death, but as the victory of life.
